The flagship Q2 2026 project. A personal site that serves as shipped public artifact, living portfolio for hiring, and consulting surface area. Built on Obsidian + Digital Garden plugin, deployed via Vercel.

Strategic Importance

seka.works is the single highest-leverage thing I can do in Q2 because it serves three priorities simultaneously. The site is where the operating system (SekaOS) becomes visible to the outside world.

Architecture

Design System

Taxonomy (two-axis): Fields (thinking, building, living, work) as content-area + Crops (8 groups: vegetables, roots, fruits, grains, legumes, herbs, flowers, gourds) as tone/character. Crop vocabulary is open -- assigned intuitively, new crops can be invented.

Growth stages: planted -> rooted -> bearing -> fallow -> compost. Compost is a lifecycle stage, not deletion -- nutrients feed newer work, backlink connections persist. Static types: stakes (navigation) + preserved (shelf-stable).

Visual rendering (Phase 2): L-system rules encode crop type (peppers branch 25-35 degrees, roots spread 40-60 degrees, grains tall/parallel). Iteration count encodes stage (planted=1, bearing=6). ASCII character rendering with mudcloth geometry + kente rhythm + adinkra symbols. Ambient interaction: hover ripple through mycelium, scroll-driven growth animation, circadian color shifts.

Aesthetic: Dark-first design. Eggplant purple accent. Monospace for ASCII. Flat/soft color palette tied to crop type.

Content Strategy

The site publishes garden notes organized by the farm taxonomy. The wiki (second brain) is reference material that inspires garden notes but stays internal.

Phased Roadmap

Phase 1 -- MVF (Minimum Viable Farm): 5-10 published notes across 2+ fields, custom dark theme (colors/typography, NOT generative visuals), backlinks visible, field landing pages. Vault restructure prerequisite completed 2026-04-08.

Phase 2 -- Living Layer: L-system visuals, ASCII rendering, custom mycelium graph view. Requires creative developer collaborator or substantial Claude Code sessions.

Phase 3 -- Ambient Intelligence: Time-based shifts, return-visit memory, performance budget refinement.

Consultancy Model

Seka Works (NY LLC, formed Oct 2025) operates as a design-as-a-service subscription model blending UX research, web design, and brand strategy.
